Art on the Railings

Heritage Open Days – Barton Heritage Festival

Artist and expert tutor Jon Dent leads an exciting session for young artists of all abilities to create their own paintings of Barton’s most interesting historic buildings to form their very own ‘Exhibition of Paintings on the Railings’ at the Wilderspin School Museum.

The Painting Class will take place on Saturday September 8 .

Young artists will work in Jon’s Wilderspin Art Group Painting Studio in the Joseph Wright Hall.  They’ll use proper artist’s easels and professional quality materials including acrylic paints.

The paintings of their favourite historic building of Barton upon Humber will be exhibited the following Saturday in a traditional ‘Painting on the Railings’ show.

A panel of judges from the Wilderspin Art Group will judge the show and a prize will be awarded for Best in Show
