Today (Saturday) we’re celebrating Mothering Sunday as an excuse to meet, chat and reminisce over tea or coffee, with card-making materials for children (and adults!) to be creative. It’s between 2pm and 4pm in the Chatty Cafe, adjacent to The Old School Canteen coffee shop. Everyone is welcome!
Our next open weekend is 18 & 19 March. On the Saturday you can get creative in the Chatty Cafe where we’ve everything you need to make a mothers’ day card – whatever your age!
The Old School Canteen coffee shop is open as usual every week between 10am and 4pm on Thursday – Sunday inclusive.
Come and have a look behind the scenes at some of the work our volunteers do – from gardening to archiving, group tours to school visits. Chat to our staff to see if you’d like to join our award-winning team of volunteers who run the Museum.

Other Lives Productions return with one of their popular story telling evenings with a collection of readings, semi-dramatisations and a little music celebrating our crazy English weather as it progresses from January to December.
